Lacy Bell

You will need -

  • white greetings card cut to 9 cm x 14.5 cm
  • dark brown, pale blue, beige and white card
  • large bell from: Jewelled Bells Design Extra DE02C392M
  • message from: Christmas Messages Die Sheet DS151C371
  • star strip from: Christmas Strippers Die Sheet DS75C294
  • Versamark inkpad
  • silver and copper tinsel embossing powders
  • Brilliance inkpads: Pearlescent beige and Pearlescent Ice Blue
  • scissors / glue / silicone rubber / glue pen
  • craft knife and cutting mat
  • decorative corner punch- used here Zig Zag Corner Adorner
  • pale blue 3mm ribbon bow
  • pearl cabouchon or similar for clapper
  • star punch (optional)
  • Crackle Accents (new one step crackle medium)
  • fine prisma glitter

 

1. Ink the star Christmas Stripper with pearlescent beige ink and stamp across the top of the greetings card. Re-ink and stamp at the base of the card and again a little further up.

2. Ink the star stripper with pearlescent Ice Blue ink and stamp between the two bottom beige strips.

3. When the ink is dry, ink the message with Versamark ink and stamp across the blue strip. Emboss with copper tinsel powder.

4. Trim the dark brown card to fit between the star strips and glue to the card.

5. Trim the pale blue card to fit just inside the brown card. Shape the corners using the punch and glue to the greetings card over the brown card.

6. Ink the large Jewelled Bell design with Versamark ink, stamp on to beige card and emboss with silver powder.

7. Cut out the 'jewels' with a craft knife.

8. Cut out the bell and glue on to white card. Leave to dry and then cut out the bell again.

9. Paint a layer of crackle Accents over the bell and leave to dry.

10. Use a glue pen to apply fine glitter on to the bell's beads.

11. Gently shape the bell so it is curved and fix with silicone rubber to the centre of the blue area on the greetings card.

12. Glue the bow to the top of the bell and the 'clapper' to the base.

13. Punch 3 stars from pale blue card and glue around the bell.
